Nepalese Scholars Complete Pre-Ph.D. Presentations at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: The Department of Regional Economics at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University organized the pre-Ph.D. presentations of four research scholars from Nepal on Sunday.

Among the scholars, Janak Raj Joshi and Giri Raj Kadayat completed their research under the supervision of Prof. Bhola Khan, while Govind Raj Upadhyay and Dharm Dev Bhatt carried out their work under the guidance of Prof. Ashutosh Priya.

During the session, Giri Raj Kadayat presented his research on “Economic Growth and Tourism in Nepal,” while Dharm Dev Bhatt discussed his study evaluating the socio-economic impact of microfinance on rural women in Nepal.

Govind Raj Upadhyay presented research on estimating people’s willingness to pay for wetland conservation in Nepal, and Janak Raj Joshi highlighted the role of cooperatives in poverty reduction in Nepal.

Following the presentations, faculty members provided valuable suggestions to the scholars regarding their research work and congratulated them on their academic achievements.

The event was attended by several distinguished academicians, including Prof. Vijay Bahadur Singh Yadav, Dr. Israr Khan, Dr. Ruchi Dwivedi, Dr. Subodh Dhawan, Prof. M. L. Maurya and Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, along with research scholars, students, and departmental staff members.
